BIOGRAPHY

Reverend Linda J Thomas, a resident of Mitchellville, MD, is a Christian and an award-winning entrepreneur with over 25 years in the direct selling industry. Since 1991, she has received many awards for her accomplishments.
She was educated in the public schools of DC and later attended Howard University and Bowie State University where she majored in Business Administration. In 2001, she earned a Master of Divinity Degree from the Howard University School of Divinity in Washington DC.
The development and growth strategies for team-building, training and market penetration which catapulted her to an executive level within her company were honed throughout her years of work in the federal sector.
Following the priorities of God First, family second, and career third along with sound business strategies, she led her team to complete a half million dollars in retail sales her first year in business.
Since 2005, Reverend Thomas has focused on increasing awareness to the issue of domestic violence. To that end, she started a Domestic Violence Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden and testified before Maryland State Legislature in support of domestic violence legislation. In 2009, two of these important domestic violence bills were signed into law. She has trained the faith-based community locally and internationally.

Her vision to establish a Family Justice Center (FJC) in Prince George's County was realized on June 9, 2016. The FJC serves residents of the County who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and elder abuse. It serves as a one-stop-shop for victim services (co-located), including counseling, processing of protective orders, legal assistance, financial assistance and a variety of other emergency services.
She has maintained her compassion and commitment to empower and enrich the lives of women as she serves as a mentor, motivator and professional coach to many.
